Famous Fairways helps fundraise at the George Lopez Celebrity Golf Classic

George Lopez at his annual charity golf tournamentThis week, on a glistening lakeside golf course just north of Hollywood, some famous celebrities braved the rain to raise money for charity. Hosted by comedian George Lopez, the event was joined by the likes of Alan Thicke, Debbe Dunning, Joe Pesci, Cheech Marin & Tommy Chong, Adam Levine, Salli Richardson-Whitfield, Andy Garcia, Chris Tucker, Joe Mantegna, Sugar Rae Leonard, Sarah Hyland, and more.

As a thank you gift, they received a very appropriate prize: a special Lopez Foundation copy of our Famous Fairways card game to enjoy on the proverbial 19th hole.

We’ve Got Fans!

Famous FansWe’ve seen an interesting trend emerging over the past couple of weeks. While we’ve been busy sending out samples to potential b2b clients in the brand marketing space, we’ve also been receiving emails from game and sports fans around the world wondering where they can obtain their own copies of our World’s Smallest Sports Games to play and share with friends.

To us, their curiosity and enthusiasm speaks to the power of games as a promotional product. Games are made to be played, after all. They provide a richly textured experience and take their players on an emotional journey. Much like sports, games develop fan bases and become sources of passion and engagement in a way that typical promotional products such as pens, USB drives, jackets, and bobble heads never can.

Sammy Baugh, famous football player

During his 1937 rookie season with the Washington Redskins, Sammy Baugh played quarterback, defensive back, and punter, set a league record for completions, and threw for a league-high 1,127 yards. His 1943 was even better and he led the league in passing, punting, and interceptions (catching them, not throwing them!). Baugh is credited with making the forward pass an integral part of the offensive play in the NFL.
